Churchill Knight is a specialist accountant for freelancers and limited companies, which provides services to contractors. By engaging our services you will be helped greatly with your limited company or umbrella company by being tax efficient and IR35 compliant, saving you time and money with no extra work.

We work with a range of clients to make sure that you are saving money across your business no matter if you are an umbrella company, a sole trader or a limited company. We offer a range of services including a no obligation call back or calculation assessing the operation of your limited company or umbrella company so that you can see how Churchill Knight can save you money from the outset and at a reasonable cost.

We have no set minimum contracts at Churchill Knight so no matter whether you need a specialist to check you are IR35 compliant or ongoing use of our advice services for a limited company or an umbrella company, we can help.

We also offer set up free of charge for any change in your current limited companies status, and will give you full administrative support once you are up and running, whether you're a newly created limited company or a sole trader working within IR35. We can also give you instant access to your take-home figure regardless of whether you run one or more limited companies or are a freelance operator.

Engaging Churchill Knight couldn't be easier and has benefited many limited companies over the 10 years we have been operating. We can offer you advice on IR35 accounting and on matters as specific as family protection. Whether you are looking to overhaul the costs of your limited companies or bring your freelance costs into line, Churchill Knight can offer a range of services that are professional, legal and best of all transparent in price. Using our services your limited company can save on legwork and ultimately a lot of money in the long run. This is because, once instructed, we will liaise directly on behalf of your limited company so you can spend more time investing in clients for your limited company.

Limited Companies

We work alongside limited companies to make sure that you are claiming all of the expenses you are eligible for before tax, whether you are inside of IR35 or outside of the terms laid out by IR35. A limited company can be at risk of IR35 infringement and you may face huge taxation bills if your limited company is found to be operating outside of the terms of the IR35 legislation incorrectly.

Churchill Knight can provide you with specialist knowledge of IR35 to help avoid falling foul of HMRC. We have been helping limited companies since 1998 and have been working to ensure compliance across all of our clients' limited companies since the bill was brought in, in 2001.

IR35

IR35 was designed to help the Government recover losses from tax avoidance and is known as IR35 due to the number of the press release it was announced under. This piece of legislation means that employees can no longer be disguised where personal service companies could employ them.

We can help you to see if your limited companies meet the requirements of IR35 and to help you understand how IR35 could affect your tax and NICS costs across all of your limited companies.

Umbrella Company

As an umbrella company you will technically be in employment paid through the PAYE system. Churchill Knight understand that this form of business can lose out on tax benefits if you do not claim expenses before taxes through this system and can help you to understand what the expenses an umbrella company is eligible for in order to save you money.

For example, if you are offered a dispensation under the terms of your umbrella company can the limits on these expenses feasibly be reduced? Churchill Knight understand the reasons why you might choose to set up your businesses as a range of limited companies or as a singular umbrella company and aim to help your business, no matter what type, become more cost-effective immediately.
